"To Do" List

Scripture of the Day:  "Wherefore, ye must press foward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men.  Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father; Ye shall have eternal life." -2 Nephi 31:20 (The Book of Mormon)

I'm kind of a checklist or "to do list" person.  If I have step by step instructions (in most cases anyway) I feel confident that I can accomplish any task.  While most things gospel related cannot be checked off or completed at with just one effort, this verse is my "to do" list.

• Press forward being steadfast in Christ
• Have a perfect brightness of hope
• Love God and all men
• Feast upon the word
• Endure to the end

This verse also gives the two great commandments as outlined in Matthew Chapter 22:

 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 

 38 This is the first and great commandment. 

 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

But what I love most is that whenever we are given our "to do" list there is always some kind of reward or blessing promised.  This one is the greatest of all...eternal life!

I can't think of a better goal to have than being with my Heavenly Father and family forever and ever.  I know its possible if I give it my all and then rely on the Savior where I lack!
